About Drew
Drew was born in New York City to parents Mary and Michael and grew up here. He graduated from Providence College in Rhode Island, and is employed as a motorman for the New York City Transit Authority. In his spare time, he enjoys hockey, baseball, dining out, 20th century history, restoring vintage trains, and travel.
About Emily
Emily grew up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio with her parents Janet and John and sister, Laura. She moved to the New York metro area to attend Sarah Lawrence College. Since graduation she has worked at Sarah Lawrence, currently in Information Technology, and lived in the Bronx. She enjoys practicing contemporary dance, exploring infrastructure, and running her freelance web design and development business.
About Drew & Emily
Drew and Emily first met on a Lo-V subway nostalgia train ride. They talked for hours on the train and exchanged information, though neither was looking for a relationship at the time. Gradually their acquaintanceship turned to friendship and then into dating. They’ve enjoyed travel, great food, many train- and non-train related excursions, and all of the ups and downs of life together for the past couple of years.
